Marti Icenogle

Marti Icenogle is a jewelry maker, a printmaker, a teacher/trainer, a computer geek, and retired from the corporate world.  Ms. Icenogle has been interested in art since childhood and has taken art classes in various media, including glass bead making, silversmithing, drawing, painting, woodcarving, and many others.  In 1997 she began taking classes in metal clay and fused glass.  She then began to apply her various artistic talents to making art jewelry.

Ms. Icenogle continues to make jewelry, while she has been exploring another medium—printmaking.  She has been exploring many areas of printmaking, but focuses primarily on woodcuts and monotypes.  She is also exploring ways to incorporate this medium into jewelry and glass.

Ms. Icenogle started selling art jewelry at art fairs in 2001 under the name of Magickal Dragon Designs, and for several years she was a part–time artist and a full–time corporate employee.  Then in 2007, she left the corporate world and today creates her art jewelry and fine art prints at STUDIO 204 in the Murphy Art Center located in Fountain Square on Indianapolis' near south side.

Ms. Icenogle also enjoys sharing her skills and talents with others.  She is a certified Senior Instructor for Art Clay and teaches a variety of metal clay classes and other jewelry making classes at her studio and at various other sites in central Indiana, including the Garfield Park Arts Center.
