TIM ENGELLAND

Tim Engelland was raised in Terre Haute, Indiana.  He left that city as soon as possible and spent most of the last forty years in New York and New England.

Although primarily a landscape and portrait painter, twenty-five years ago he began experimenting with relief printmaking.  It wasn't until he taught himself to sharpen the necessary gouges and knives that his interest quickened.

His work has been widely exhibited and is included in collections the Museum Of Fine Arts in Boston, Massachusetts and the National Library of Ireland.

He will be offering classes at both "OASIS" and the Indianapolis Art Center this Winter and Spring.  He also teaches privately.

Mr. Engelland may be reached via e-mail at: tengelland@iquest.net

To whit: An alphabet of “no-no’s”. It was inspired by medieval chap books, early American broadsides, and artists like Holbein, Felix Vallotton, and Alex Mueller.

They are meant to be humorous and make appropriate gifts for landlords, stockbrokers, Ex-spouses, skinflints, lawyers, probation officers, debt collectors, and other friends.
