Autobiography:

I was born in 1964 in Greenfield, Indiana.  I would become the fifth and last child of Jack and Judy.   Mostly because of being such a large baby (almost 12 pounds), I broke my mother's tailbone at birth!   Dad would have to give birth himself if he wanted any more kids.

My family had a large influence on my life growing up --- my mother’s love of antiques and all things old --- my father’s love of the outdoors and traveling.  My two older brothers and two older sisters were teenagers in the late sixties and early seventies, so I became exposed to that era at an early age.  In particular, I remember my oldest brother having a red, white, and blue microbus, and on the inside of it, he put up pictures taken out of Rolling Stone Magazine.  I can remember spending a fair amount of time just sitting in the middle of that old van going over the pictures in my mind.

We moved to an old farmhouse in Wanamaker when I was around two years old, and it was there that I grew up.  I had close ties with Irvington in that it is where my Dad grew up and my grandparents and cousins lived. Ellenberger Park was where we all went swimming and sledding as kids.

Drawing has always just been a way to relax and let my mind go. Had I listened to my Mom as a teenager and gone to art school after graduating high school, I may have been able to make a career out of it.  Instead, I wanted to be the macho construction worker.  Twenty-five years later, my body is nearly worn out and I am now wishing I had listened to my Mom . Moms really do know best.

I hope you enjoy the drawings; its fun taking something as simple as a pencil and a piece of paper and giving a bit of life to it.
